Lorcana set release dates for 2026 and 2027

Ravensburger dated four Disney Lorcana sets in 2026: Winterspell, out everywhere on February 20, Wilds Unknown on May 15, Attack of the Vine on July 24 and Hyperia City, which reaches local stores at prerelease on October 16 and everywhere on October 23, 2026. For 2027, Into the Inkdark is dated February 12, and Cosmic Quest is announced for the second quarter with no day yet.

What are the 2026 Lorcana release dates?

Each set now has two dates. The prerelease date is when it first appears at local hobby stores and some Disney Parks and stores. The everywhere date is the wide, mass-retail release.

Ravensburger ends the third name with an exclamation mark, which this guide leaves off.

What is announced for 2027?

Ravensburger’s Hyperia City press release, dated September 22, 2026, names Into the Inkdark as the opening set of 2027. Beyond it, only quarters and seasons are public:

Into the Inkdark is a 2027 set, and Ravensburger announced on August 14, 2026 that it comes in the first quarter. February 5 and February 12 are both Fridays in 2027.

Into the Inkdark also brings Lorcana’s first collector boosters. They debut at participating Ravensburger program stores and select Disney locations, and our guide to Lorcana Enchanted cards and box contents covers what they hold.

Cosmic Quest has no day yet. Until Ravensburger prints a day, treat any date you see for it as a guess.

Which sets came before 2026?

Early sets came out in two kinds of store: hobby stores first, then mass retailers. Later sets use the words prerelease and everywhere for the same two steps.

• The First Chapter. Ravensburger’s May 6, 2025 press release says Lorcana launched in August 2023.
• The second to fourth sets. They came out after the August 2023 launch of the first set and before Shimmering Skies, which came out in August 2024. Rise of the Floodborn is the second set.
• Archazia’s Island. Ravensburger’s May 6, 2025 press release counted seven sets already out, with Reign of Jafar, the eighth, due that month.
• Whispers in the Well. Ravensburger’s press release of October 14, 2025 gives November 7 and 14.

Why does Azurite Sea have two wide dates?

Ravensburger gives two: an everywhere date of November 25, 2024, a Monday, and November 27, a Wednesday, for mass retailers. Both come with November 15 for hobby stores, so the table shows both wide dates.

What patterns show in the dates?

Four:

• Fridays. Every dated release from Rise of the Floodborn in November 2023 to Into the Inkdark in February 2027 falls on a Friday, except Azurite Sea’s wide date.
• Two weeks became one. Rise of the Floodborn, Into the Inklands, Set 4 and Shimmering Skies each reached mass retailers 14 days after hobby stores. From Reign of Jafar on, every set has gone everywhere 7 days after its prerelease. Azurite Sea fell in between, at 10 or 12 days.
• Ten to fourteen weeks between sets. From Reign of Jafar to Hyperia City, each everywhere date came 10 to 14 weeks after the one before. In 2023 and 2024 the gaps ran 12 to 14 weeks.
• Four sets a year. Ravensburger dated four sets in 2024 and four in 2026.

These are past and announced dates, not a promise about future calendars.

When does Ravensburger announce a date?

In stages:

1. Months ahead, in the previous set’s press release. The Whispers in the Well release of October 14, 2025 gave Winterspell’s February dates, about 17 weeks before its prerelease. The Wilds Unknown release gave Attack of the Vine’s dates about 13 weeks ahead, and the Attack of the Vine release gave Hyperia City’s about 16 weeks ahead.
2. A quarter or a season first, for sets further out. Ravensburger called Into the Inkdark a first-quarter set in June and August 2026, and its product page now prints February 5 and 12. Cosmic Quest is still at the quarter stage.
3. A press release 24 days before prerelease. Ravensburger’s press releases datelined May 6, 2025 (with Reign of Jafar’s dates), October 14, 2025, and January 20, April 14, June 23 and September 22, 2026 each carry a Tuesday dateline, 24 days before the prerelease of the set they announce.

How do you check a Lorcana release date?

1. Start with the set’s product page. Once a set is dated, the prerelease and everywhere dates sit near the top of Ravensburger’s page for it.
2. Read the press release. Each one restates the set’s dates and often gives the next set’s.
3. Check the year. Some product pages print a day and month without one, so match the year to the press release.
4. Treat everything else as a guess. A preorder listing or a fan calendar is not a release date until Ravensburger’s pages match it.

Our release calendar puts Lorcana release dates beside those of four other card games.

What to check when a new set comes out

• What the packs hold. Our guide to Lorcana Enchanted cards and box contents covers pack and box counts and the Enchanted rarity.
• What a card sells for. Rip.fan’s price pages do not cover Lorcana, so use the method in finding what a card sold for.
• Whether the box is sealed. A booster box is sealed product, and our guide to storing sealed product covers keeping it that way.

Our release-date guides for Magic, Pokémon, One Piece and Yu-Gi-Oh! do the same job for those games, and the trading card hub collects the rest.
