How it works

Some links to platforms are partner links. If you join or buy through one, the platform may pay Rip.fan a commission at no extra cost to you. A partner offer’s code works the same way: if you sign up with it, the site may give Rip.fan a referral perk. A partner link opens in a new tab and goes first to a short redirect page on our site that names the site, then on to the site. Partner links carry the rel="sponsored nofollow" attribute, which tells search engines the link is paid and not to follow it. Every page carries the line above in its footer.

Partner links appear on our rankings, reviews, compare pages and card rips pages, on the partner offers page, and in our shop, where each pack’s Buy button is the partner link of the site that sells it.

Which platforms we list

We rank a platform, and list its packs in our shop, only when it runs a partner program and passes our checks: packs of real, physical items. We also review platforms we tested and do not recommend, whether or not they run a partner program, and we never link to them. Our news may mention any platform as a matter of fact, with no partner link. The main ranking ends on a table of every rip site we track: a partner there has its partner link, and a site with no partner program has a plain link to its home page, which brings us no commission.

What it does not change

Scores follow How We Rate. A platform cannot buy a better score or a higher rank. The same eight criteria apply to every listed platform, and each review scores the criteria its hands-on test covered or the criteria its published facts support. A criterion with nothing behind it is left out of the score and out of the review’s score table. Each review lists the criteria its score covers.
