By the Rip.fan Editorial Team.
Published 6 min readAzurite Sea is Disney Lorcana’s Set 6, and it reached hobby stores on November 15, 2024. Ravensburger pitched it as a voyage across an unpredictable sea, and it brought Big Hero 6 and Chip ‘n’ Dale: Rescue Rangers characters into Lorcana for the first time. The set has 204 standard cards and 18 Enchanted printings, 222 in all.
When did Azurite Sea come out?
| Stage | Date |
|---|---|
| Hobby stores | Friday, November 15, 2024 |
| Everywhere | Later in November 2024; the two pages give different days |
Ravensburger dates the hobby release to November 15 but gives two different days for the mass retail release. Our guide to Lorcana set release dates sets the two dates side by side.
The set first landed in hobby stores, Disney Retail Stores, Storybook Store at Disneyland Paris, World of Disney at Disney Springs and Disney Pin Traders at Downtown Disney District. By Rip.fan’s arithmetic, the hobby date came 14 weeks after Shimmering Skies reached hobby stores on August 9, 2024.
What is the set about?
A sea voyage. The story follows an ancient map across the Azurite Sea, past kakamora pirates and the whirlpool of a new mystery, with swashbucklers and rival inventors with their robots along the way. Two groups arrive for the first time:
- Big Hero 6. The whole team, from the young inventor to the healthcare robot.
- Rescue Rangers. Chip, Dale and the rest of the crew, in their Lorcana debut.
Of the set’s 109 character names, 48 appear in no earlier set. Among them are Baymax, Hiro Hamada, Honey Lemon, Chip, Dale, Gadget Hackwrench and Monterey Jack. The other 61 come back in new versions.
How many cards are in Azurite Sea?
The set has 200+ cards. Card numbers are written with the set number first:
| Card numbers | Printings | What they are |
|---|---|---|
| 6-1 to 6-204 | 204 | Standard cards: 72 Common, 54 Uncommon, 48 Rare, 18 Super Rare and 12 Legendary |
| 6-205 to 6-222 | 18 | Enchanted printings of standard cards |
That makes 222 printings. The 204 standard cards are 148 characters, 26 actions, 18 items and 12 locations, with 34 in each of the six ink colors. Our Lorcana rarities guide explains each rarity, and the card number entry shows why the full number matters.

Which cards got Enchanted versions?
The Enchanted printings, counted by the rarity of each card’s standard printing:
| Standard rarity | Enchanted cards | Examples, with the standard number |
|---|---|---|
| Rare | 9 | Chip ‘n’ Dale - Recovery Rangers (6-14), Baymax - Personal Healthcare Companion (6-156) |
| Super Rare | 4 | Daisy Duck - Pirate Captain (6-81), Gadget Hackwrench - Brilliant Bosun (6-140) |
| Legendary | 3 | Tiana - Restaurant Owner (6-16), Yzma - Conniving Chemist (6-56), Wreck-It Ralph - Ham Hands (6-190) |
| Uncommon | 2 | Basil - Disguised Detective (6-91) and the action card 6-130 |
| Common | None |
Only 3 of the set’s 12 Legendary cards got an Enchanted version, against 6 of 12 in Shimmering Skies. Our Enchanted entry explains the rarity, and our guide to Lorcana Enchanted cards and box contents covers how these printings work across sets.
Do the Enchanted numbers follow the card order?
Yes. 6-205 is the Enchanted Chip ‘n’ Dale - Recovery Rangers, card 6-14, and 6-222 is the Enchanted Treasure Mountain - Azurite Sea Island, card 6-203, with the rest in card order between them. Archazia’s Island, the next set, does not keep that order: there, 7-207 is the Enchanted version of card 7-4, after 7-205 and 7-206 have covered cards 7-14 and 7-35. Always read the printed number.
Are any Azurite Sea cards reprints?
None by full name: no standard card repeats a full name from Sets 1 to 5. Characters seen in earlier sets appear here as new versions. Fabled, Set 9, took the other route, as our Fabled guide shows.
How does it compare with the sets around it?

What products came out for Azurite Sea?
| Product | What it holds | Cards from packs, by Rip.fan’s arithmetic |
|---|---|---|
| Booster packs | 12 cards a pack, and the cards in each pack vary | 12 a pack |
| Booster boxes | 24 booster packs | 288 a box |
| Ready-made decks | A 60-card deck with two foil cards, plus one booster pack | 12 from the pack, on top of the deck |
| Illumineer’s Trove | A storage box with 8 booster packs, 6 card dividers and small accessories | 96 |
| Stitch Gift Set | A Stitch - Alien Buccaneer promo card, 4 booster packs and a portfolio | 48 |
| Card sleeves and boxes | Sleeves and boxes to protect cards | None |
Stitch - Alien Buccaneer is also the name of standard card 6-72, so a listing for the promo should say which one it is. Our promo card entry explains the difference, and our booster box entry covers the format. Like any sealed product, a box should arrive in unbroken factory wrap.
What should you check before you buy?
- A 6 in front of the number. It separates an Azurite Sea card from another version of the same character.
- Promo or pack card. The Stitch Gift Set promo shares its name with card 6-72.
- A number above 6-204 for an Enchanted card. The number in the title and on the card in the photos should agree.
- Unbroken wrap on sealed product. See our guides to storing sealed product and spotting fake Lorcana cards.
How do you check Azurite Sea card prices?
Not on Rip.fan, whose card price lookup and price pages hold English Pokémon cards only. Sold listings do the job instead. Confirm the 6 before the card number, then the printing: Yzma - Conniving Chemist at 6-56 and its Enchanted version at 6-209 are two different cards to a buyer. Then take prices from completed sales with dates, not from asking prices. Our Lorcana card value guide and our guide to finding what a card sold for explain the method.
The seller fee calculator works out what TCGplayer and Whatnot leave you after fees. If you are new to Lorcana, our guide to starting a Lorcana collection is a good first stop, and the trading card hub gathers every Lorcana set guide.
