Innistrad Remastered went on sale in stores on January 24, 2025, under the set code INR. It is a set of reprints from across the history of Innistrad, Magic’s Gothic horror plane, with a retro frame card in every booster. It came in two pack types, Play Boosters and Collector Boosters, and each has its own range of collector numbers. The set has 567 entries on 491 numbers.

When did Innistrad Remastered come out?

On January 24, 2025. Wizards files the set under Special Products, apart from the main set releases.

It came out between Foundations, on sale November 15, 2024, and Aetherdrift, on sale February 14, 2025. Our guide to Magic set release dates includes it in its table of the sets that came just before 2026.

What does each pack hold?

Play Booster Collector Booster
Cards per pack 14 15
Collector numbers it may hold 1 to 480 1 to 491
Cards of rare or higher 1 to 4 4
Uncommons 3 to 6 3 to 6
Commons 6 to 9 4 to 7
Land 1 1
Foils At least 1 10 to 11 traditional foils
Packs per display 36 12

Collector Boosters also hold serialized Edgar Markov cards: they are printed in English only but turn up in Collector Boosters of any language, and a non-serialized Edgar Markov appears in the set as well.

Two figures differ from Wizards’ general figures for every set, which put five or six cards of rare or higher and 8 to 10 foils or more in a Collector Booster; for INR, Wizards lists four and 10 to 11. Go by the set’s own figures. Our Collector Boosters guide explains that pack type across sets.

Which numbers come only in Collector Boosters?

The answer is 481 to 491: eleven numbers inside the Collector Booster range but past the end of the Play Booster range. Every one of those eleven repeats a card that also sits at a lower number:

Number Card First listed at
481 Emrakul, the Promised End 5
482 Avacyn, Angel of Hope 477
483 Cathars’ Crusade 17
484 Captivating Vampire 100
485 Griselbrand 115
486 The Mythic Rare at 122 122
487 Through the Breach 175
488 Hermit Druid 202
489 The Gitrog Monster 238
490 Olivia Voldaren 246
491 Edgar Markov 234

So a Play Booster can hold each of these cards, just not these printings of them. One number sits outside both ranges: 492, Deadeye Navigator, first listed at 59.

How is Innistrad Remastered numbered?

Grouped by collector number:

Collector numbers Printings Cards
1 to 287 286 The main run, from Abundant Maw at 1 to Ormendahl, Profane Prince // Westvale Abbey at 287, with nothing at 113
288 to 297 10 Basic lands, two of each type
298 to 328 31 Repeats of earlier cards, 4 of them two-faced, Edgar Markov (first at 234, again at 328) among them
329 to 447 119 Repeats of 119 cards from 1 to 274, none of them two-faced
448 to 474 27 Repeats of 27 cards, every one of them two-faced
475 to 480 6 Five Mythic Rares seen nowhere earlier, from Liliana of the Veil to Craterhoof Behemoth, with Sorin, Imperious Bloodlord again at 476
481 to 491 11 The Collector Booster only run
492 1 Deadeye Navigator

The set has new movie poster cards, Showcase treatments from Innistrad’s past and new borderless art, but Wizards does not tie a treatment to a stretch of numbers. Edgar Markov is the only card with four printings, at 234, 328, 428 and 491.

Why are there 567 entries on 491 numbers?

Because 75 numbers hold more than one entry. Most are cards with two faces, which are listed face by face: 74 numbers hold two entries and one, 123, holds three. So 491 numbers plus 76 extra entries makes 567. When you look a card up, search under either face’s name and check the number.

What rarities are in Innistrad Remastered?

Rarity totals count every entry, so they count faces. Counting collector numbers that hold a first printing instead:

Rarity Numbers First numbered 1 to 287 First numbered above 287 Search total
Common 88 88 None 100
Uncommon 104 104 None 121
Rare 72 72 None 82
Mythic Rare 29 24 5, at 475 to 480 33
Land 5 None 5, the basic land types 5

The numbers column adds up to 298, two more than the 296 numbers that hold a first printing, because two numbers sit under two rarities each: 14 lists Bruna, the Fading Light as a Rare and Brisela, Voice of Nightmares as a Mythic Rare, and 123 lists names at both Common and Uncommon. Our Magic card rarities guide explains each rarity symbol.

What should you check before you buy?

  • The collector number. Most INR cards have two or more printings, and 481 to 491 come only from Collector Boosters.
  • Serialized or not. Edgar Markov comes serialized and non-serialized, so check which one a listing shows.
  • Play Booster or Collector Booster. The two packs hold different mixes, so read the label on a booster box.
  • Factory wrap. Any box is sealed product; our guide to storing sealed product explains how to keep it that way.

How do you check Innistrad Remastered card prices?

Rip.fan’s card price lookup and price pages do not include Magic; they list English Pokémon cards only. For an INR card, start from the code and the collector number, because one name can cover up to four printings. Then look only at sold listings for that exact printing and finish, and note the date of each sale. Our guides to checking Magic card prices and finding what a card sold for set out the method, and spotting fake Magic cards covers the checks before you pay.

The seller fee calculator shows what a sale leaves you after fees on TCGplayer or Whatnot. For the 2022 and 2023 sets, see our guides to Dominaria United and March of the Machine, or the trading card hub.
