A premium booster is One Piece’s reprint-led booster, sold under the name One Piece Card The Best. There are two so far: PRB-01, released in English on November 8, 2024, and PRB-02, released on October 3, 2025. Both list USD $5.49 per pack, the highest per-pack price among Bandai’s English boosters. Most of their cards carry numbers from earlier products, many with new art; PRB-01 adds one new card number and PRB-02 adds 18.
What are the two premium boosters?
The days row is Rip.fan’s arithmetic.
| PRB-01 | PRB-02 | |
|---|---|---|
| Name | One Piece Card The Best | The same name, vol.2 |
| English release | Friday, November 8, 2024 | Friday, October 3, 2025 |
| English list price per pack | $5.49 | $5.49 |
| Japanese release | Saturday, July 27, 2024 | Saturday, July 26, 2025 |
| Japanese price per pack | 550 yen, tax included | 550 yen, tax included |
| Cards per pack | 10 in Japanese packs | 10 in Japanese packs |
| Card types | 111+30 | 179+30, Japanese count |
| Days from Japanese to English release | 104 | 69 |
The +30 is the DON!! cards. No pack size is given for the English packs. For PRB-02, the English total differs from the Japanese one above the same rarity counts, so the table uses the Japanese total. As of October 13, 2026, no third premium booster was listed in either language. Our One Piece set release dates guide places both among the numbered boosters.
What rarities are in each premium booster?
| Rarity | PRB-01 | PRB-02 |
|---|---|---|
| Common | 23 | 46 |
| Uncommon | 25 | 29 |
| Rare | 21 | 41 |
| Super Rare | 29 | 34 |
| Secret Rare | 8 | 8 |
| Promotion card | 4 | 15 |
| DON!! card | 30 | 30 |
PRB-01 has 1 Leader card, and PRB-02 has 6 special cards.
Two things stand out. Premium boosters carry Uncommons, which none of Bandai’s extra boosters list. And PRB-02 lists no Leader at all, while PRB-01’s single Leader is its one new card. Our guide to One Piece rarities shows how each rarity is marked, and promo cards explains the promotion card idea.
Where do the reprinted cards come from?
Mostly from the numbered boosters. Here are the card numbers in each English set by source:
| Where the number comes from | PRB-01 | PRB-02 |
|---|---|---|
| Numbered boosters | 90, from OP-01 to OP-06 | 98, from OP-01 to OP-10 |
| Starter decks | 15 | 30 |
| Extra boosters | 1, from EB-01 | 12: 11 from EB-01, 1 from EB-02 |
| Promotion cards | 4 | 15 |
| New PRB numbers | 1 | 18 |
| Total card numbers | 111 | 173 |
PRB-01’s largest groups come from OP-06 (21 numbers) and OP-05 (18), and it has none from OP-07 or later. PRB-02’s come from OP-09 (25), OP-07 (16) and OP-06 (15); it takes only two numbers each from OP-01 and OP-02, and none from OP-11 or later.
The starter deck numbers run wide. PRB-01’s 15 come from nine decks between ST-01 and ST-12. PRB-02’s 30 come from 14 decks between ST-01 and ST-21, with five each from ST-13 and ST-14. Its 15 promotion cards are numbered between P-044 and P-088.
PRB-01’s 111 numbers match its 111 card types. PRB-02’s 173 numbers plus its 6 Special cards make 179, the Japanese total.
How does a premium booster compare with other One Piece boosters?
Its packs are bigger and it lists far more DON!! cards.
| Premium booster, PRB-02 | Extra booster, EB-03 | Numbered booster, OP-15 | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cards per pack in Japan | 10 | 6 | 6 |
| Japanese price per pack | 550 yen | 220 yen | 220 yen |
| English list price per pack | $5.49 | $4.99 | $4.99, sold as OP15-EB04 |
| Card types, Japanese count | 179+30 | 71+4 | 125+1 |
| DON!! cards | 30 | 4 | 1 |
The PRB-02 premium booster has 29 Uncommons and the OP-15 numbered booster has 30.
The 30 DON!! cards are the clearest difference: EB-03 lists 4 and OP-15 lists 1. Our guides to extra boosters and OP-15 cover the other two in full.
What is new in each set?
PRB-01 has one new card number: PRB01-001, a brand-new Sanji Leader. The set also brought 30 new DON!! cards, some with gold foiling.
PRB-02 has 18 new numbers, PRB02-001 to PRB02-018: 12 Rares and 6 Super Rares. The Super Rares include Monkey.D.Luffy (PRB02-005), Sabo (PRB02-014) and Boa Hancock (PRB02-017). Two of the new numbers turn up again as Special cards on Bandai’s Japanese EB-04 list: PRB02-006 and PRB02-014.
Neither set’s eight Secret Rares is new. PRB-01’s carry numbers from OP-01, OP-02, OP-03, OP-05 and OP-06. PRB-02’s carry numbers from EB-01, EB-02, OP-06, OP-07, OP-08 and OP-10. One card, OP06-118 (Roronoa Zoro), is a Secret Rare in both sets. Our secret rare entry covers the term across card games.
How many versions does each card have?
Far more than one. Bandai counts card types, but its card lists show every version, and the two sets differ:
| PRB-01 | PRB-02 | |
|---|---|---|
| Entries on the English card list | 319 | 316 |
| Numbers with one entry | 7 | 46 |
| Numbers with two entries | 29 | 121 |
| Numbers with three entries | 46 | 6 |
| Numbers with four entries | 29 | 0 |
| Entries labeled SP | 0 | 10 |
The PRB-02 rows for one to four entries do not count the 10 SP-labeled entries, which share numbers already on the list.
Those 10 entries are 6 Characters, the 6 Special cards, and 4 Events. PRB-02 has foil-stamped full art versions of Event cards.
The versions are new alternate art, full art designs and, for PRB-02, a Super Alt-Art of Sanji. The card lists do not label which entry is which, so match a card by its image. The alternate art entry explains the term.
What does a premium booster pack hold?
In Japan, packs of both sets hold 10 cards. Every PRB-02 pack holds at least one Super Rare or rarer card. Bandai warns that one card can turn up more than once and that a full set may be hard to complete.
The DON!! cards come in versions too. PRB-01 has gold-foiled DON!! cards, and some of PRB-02’s 30 DON!! cards also come as alt-art and Super Alt-Art versions.
How do you check a premium booster card’s price?
Rip.fan’s price pages and card price lookup cover English Pokémon cards only, so price a One Piece card from sold listings:
- Match the version, not just the number. A PRB-01 card such as OP01-006 has four entries on the card list, all under that one number.
- Note the product. Look for the set name in the listing or its photos, since one number can cover several versions.
- Use dated sold prices. Our guides to checking a One Piece card’s value and finding what a card sold for walk through it.
- Check it is genuine. See spotting fake One Piece cards.
A booster box is sealed product, so buy it with the maker’s seal intact. For Bandai’s other One Piece products, see our guide to One Piece starter decks and the One Piece booster box contents guide, or the trading card hub.
