When you look up one of these, search under both names and check the number.

| 287 to 296 | 10 | The basic lands again, two more of each |
| 297 to 353 | 57 | Repeats of earlier cards |

| 393 to 394 | 2 | Firebending Student and Momo, Friendly Flier again |
No card first appears above 286, and the numbers run from 1 to 394 with no gaps.
197 cards have one printing, 72 have two, 15 have three and two have four: Aang, Swift Savior // Aang and La, Ocean’s Fury (at 204, 298, 347 and 359) and Katara, the Fearless (at 230, 305, 350 and 361). The basic lands have three printings each.
What rarities are in Avatar: The Last Airbender?
| Rarity | Cards in TLA |
|---|---|
| Common | 81 |
| Uncommon | 110 |
| Rare | 60 |
| Mythic Rare | 20 |
| Land | 15 |
The five rarities add up to the 286 cards, so no card sits at two rarities. The 15 Land cards are the five basics and ten nonbasic lands at 265 to 280, such as Kyoshi Village, Omashu City and North Pole Gates. Our Magic card rarities guide shows each rarity symbol.
Which special versions did Avatar: The Last Airbender bring?
One is a raised foil version of the double-faced Avatar Aang card. The set’s headliner card has the same rules text as its other versions. Two more come in particular products:
- Full-art basic lands, in the Commander’s Bundle.
- Scene cards, in Scene Boxes, which recreate one moment across several cards.
The cards new to Magic in Jumpstart Boosters carry the code TLE.
For how raised foil and other finishes differ, see our Magic foil types guide.
What products came out for Avatar: The Last Airbender?
Eight came out:
- Collector Boosters. In general, a Collector Booster holds 5 to 6 cards of rare or higher and 8 to 10 foil cards or more.
- Play Boosters. In general, at least one card of rare or higher and at least one foil card a pack.
- Commander’s Bundle: one Collector Booster, nine Play Boosters and full-art basic lands.
- Bundle. A Bundle is packed with Play Boosters and holds a foil alternate-art promo card.
- Scene Boxes, whose scenes recreate one moment across several cards.

Our Play Booster and Collector Booster entries and our Magic Collector Boosters guide explain the two main pack types.
What is in the Jumpstart Boosters?
Each Jumpstart Booster box holds 24 Jumpstart Boosters, and each booster has at least one new-to-Magic card from TLE.
TLE, Avatar: The Last Airbender Extra, is a separate listing from TLA, so a listing should give the code.
How does Avatar compare with its neighbors?
The four sets of late 2025 and early 2026 side by side:
| Spider-Man | Avatar | Lorwyn Eclipsed | TMNT | |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Code | SPM | TLA | ECL | TMT |
| In stores | September 26, 2025 | November 21, 2025 | January 23, 2026 | March 6, 2026 |
| Collector numbers | 285 | 394 | 398 | 300 |
| Different cards | 193 | 286 | 273 | 195 |
| Numbers with two faces | 15 | 20 | 19 | 0 |
Avatar holds the most different cards of the four, 13 more than Lorwyn Eclipsed. Each set has its own guide: Marvel’s Spider-Man, Lorwyn Eclipsed and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
What should you check before you buy?
- TLA or TLE. The new-to-Magic cards in Jumpstart Boosters carry TLE.
- Both names on a double-faced card. The Legend of Roku and Avatar Roku are the same card.
- The number on Avatar Aang. Avatar Aang is numbered 207, 308 and 363, and one version is raised foil.
- The number on Katara, the Fearless. It has four printings, at 230, 305, 350 and 361.
- Factory wrap on any booster box or other sealed product; see our guide to storing sealed product.
How do you check Avatar card prices?
Rip.fan’s card price lookup and price pages hold English Pokémon cards only. For an Avatar card, start from the code and collector number, since Avatar Aang alone has three. Then take only dated sold listings for that printing, finish and language. Our guides to checking Magic card prices, finding what a card sold for and spotting fake Magic cards cover the method, and the seller fee calculator shows what TCGplayer and Whatnot leave you after fees. The trading card hub gathers the rest of our Magic coverage.
