Measured card value

In 73,725 Phygitals openings read from its public record of opened packs, Oct 19 to Nov 2, 2026, the cards carried $0.99 of the site's own listed value per $1 spent on average. A typical opening carried $0.64 per $1.

How we tested

We used Phygitals on our own account, on its website and in its iPhone app: we added money, bought packs, looked at the trade-in offer on each card and had cards shipped from its vaults. Our account has opened 599 packs. This review is a human and AI collaboration: our own test purchases supplied the screenshots and notes, and AI wrote the review from them.

What stood out

What we noticed first was the shipping. Each time we asked for cards, they were on their way within days. The trade-in offers held no surprises either, since every one matched the share its pack page printed before we bought.

We also liked seeing the card rates on every pack page. The website and the iPhone app felt like one shop, with the same packs and the same choice after every card.

How it works

Phygitals sells packs of graded and raw cards that sit in vaults, and you can keep each card there, sell it back or have it shipped.

When we read its pack pages on October 11, 2026, it listed 54 packs in ten groups: Pokémon (8 packs), One Piece (8), mixed sports (9), basketball (6), football (6), baseball (5), soccer (4), Riftbound (4), Dragon Ball (3) and Yu-Gi-Oh! (1).

Pokémon packs, then more games and sports
  1. Add money. The deposit screen offered a few set amounts or an amount of your own, and took a card, Apple Pay or Google Pay. The charge shows on your card statement under the Phygitals name.
  2. Pick a pack. After you buy, the site lays out a row of identical packs and you choose one.
  3. See the card. On the website the card came up on a result screen with its listed value.
  4. Choose. Each result screen gave two choices: sell the card back at once for the amount shown, or keep it in the vault. A kept card can be shipped later.
Opening a pack on the website

Phygitals also has an iPhone app. The packs we opened in it carry the same names as packs on its website, and it worked much the same way in our test: the app showed a sealed slab first, and the card when the slab opened, with the same two choices. The slab carried the Phygitals wordmark, and the pack art in the app said each pack holds graded cards. Each pack we opened, on either, gave one card.

  • A sealed Baseball Starter pack in the Phygitals iPhone app: a silver foil pack with a figure of a batter on the front, labelled as graded baseball cards.

The Baseball Starter pack, as the app shows it before you open it.

  • A sealed slab with the Phygitals name on its label, shown in the Phygitals iPhone app after a pack opens and before the card appears.
  • A graded baseball card in its slab, shown in the Phygitals iPhone app when the sealed slab opened.

The graded card we got from that pack, shown when the slab opened.

Opening a pack in the iPhone app

Each card you hold has its own page, with the grade, the grading company’s certificate number with a link to check it, a market value credited to Alt, the vault that holds the card and a chart of its price history. Our guide on how to check a graded card’s certificate explains what that number tells you.

Its marketplace lists graded cards for sale by game and sport, with filters for grader, grade, set, year and language, and each listing shows its asking price next to the site’s own market value for the card.

Card rates and what a pack holds

Every pack page gives the pack’s price, its trade-in share and between two and five value ranges, each with how often it comes up, as a share of packs. Our pack explorer shows those figures pack by pack.

The trade-in share is set by pack, from 85% to 100% of the card’s listed value. When we looked, 16 packs showed 85%, 19 showed 90%, 1 showed 92% and 18 showed 100%.

  • The top of a baseball pack page on the Phygitals website: the pack's name, a green tag with its trade-in share, a menu of games and sports, and the five baseball packs with their prices.

The trade-in share is the tag beside each pack's name.

The Baseball Starter Pack and the Pokémon Rookie Pack showed 85%, and so did the offers on the cards they gave us. The Pokémon Trainer Pack showed 100%, and so did its offer.

Trade-in offers and selling

Five of our seven offers came in at 85% of the listed value, on graded basketball, baseball and Pokémon cards. The other two were 100%, on a raw Pokémon card and a graded one.

Four of our cards

Our guide on how to judge a trade-in offer shows how to compare an offer with recent sales of the same card.

Fees and shipping

Adding money costs a service fee. The deposit screen lists the amount, the fee and the total on separate lines, so you see the fee before you confirm.

You ask for shipping from your vault. Our orders screen tracked each request with its date, the number of cards in it, a tracking number and a four-step progress bar. It counted three requests, and one of them held five cards.

Cards we had shipped

The same screen shows how long each of the three vaults takes to process a request: 2 to 4 weeks for PSA, 4 to 6 days for Alt and 1 to 2 weeks for Fanatics. The Alt estimate held for our cards. There is no perks program, so a regular buyer gets nothing back on top, which we missed after opening as many packs as we have.

Support and track record

Its orders screen has a support button, and a chat button sits in the corner of every screen.

Who it suits

Phygitals suits collectors who want graded or raw cards in hand quickly. Sports collectors have more packs to choose from here than Pokémon or One Piece buyers do.

Rips by Triumph also shipped our cards fast, and our Phygitals and Rips by Triumph comparison sets the two side by side.

Pros and cons

Pros
