Royale.gg review: fashion, watches and golf gear in boxes

Royale.gg is well designed, with boxes that run from designer fashion to golf gear, and it seemed trustworthy.

How we tested

We signed in to Royale.gg with our own account and went through its page of boxes and six of its box pages, keeping notes and screenshots as we went. We read the site’s own pages for the rest: how an account is funded, how an order ships and what the site charges when an item goes back to it instead of home. This review is a human and AI collaboration: our own hands-on look at the site supplied the screenshots and notes, and AI wrote the review from them.

What stood out

The site looks polished, and it felt trustworthy as we went through it. Boxes of designer fashion, watches and golf gear fill the page, and the range runs wide: a designer handbag, a luxury watch, golf gear, a laptop. What we liked most is the disclosure. Each box page we looked at showed how often each item comes up before you open it, with that item’s listed value beside it. That is the information a buyer actually wants, and it sits right there on the page.

How it works

Royale.gg sells boxes that you open online. Our guide to how online pack opening works covers the steps most sites share.

  1. Check your balance. Your balance sits at the top of the page, beside a button to add money, and it is kept in US dollars, as the box prices are. You can sign in with Google, Facebook or Steam, or make an account with the site directly, and money goes in through the top-up button.
  2. Pick a box. Tabs on the page of boxes sort them by what they hold, from clothing, shoes and electronics to watches, jewelry, sports and other goods. Each box shows a drawing, its name, the kind of goods it holds and its price, and the kinds we saw were collectibles, luxury goods, streetwear, watches, bags, designer goods and mixed boxes.
  3. Read the box page. The open button shows the price, and a list headed Box contains gives each item with a picture, its name and brand, its listed value and how often it comes up.

What a box holds and how often each item comes up

The six box pages we looked at range widely, and the first items on each show it.

  • A luxury box: a luxury watch, a designer briefcase, a tuxedo, a leather business bag, leather dress shoes and a laptop.
  • A box of collectibles: a designer jacket, a pair of designer jeans, a graded Pokémon card, a pair of designer sneakers and an art print.
  • A box of pink women’s fashion: a pink designer handbag, a designer tote, two pairs of designer sneakers, a pink phone and a pair of designer sandals.
  • A second luxury box: a boat, two luxury watches, two personal watercraft and a diamond pendant.
  • A box of golf gear under the sports tab: an electric golf cart, two golf simulators, an autographed tournament flag, a set of irons and a golf staff bag.
  • A streetwear box: designer sneakers, designer bags and a backpack, a luxury watch and a hooded sweatshirt.

Each list runs on past these first items, so each of these boxes holds more than we name here. Cards are a small part of the site: its tabs have no section for them, and the only card we saw listed was a graded Pokémon card in a box of collectibles. Our guide to buying graded cards online covers what to check on a slab. If cards are what you came for, the site still covers you: it sells Pokémon packs, and a graded card can turn up in the collectibles box.

Trade-in offers and selling

An item does not have to come home. After a box opens you can exchange it for another item in the site’s catalogue, or take its value as an instant trade-in offer to your account balance instead of having it shipped. The site states that a small processing fee comes off the amount when the value is taken rather than the item posted. A transfer of value can pause if the site’s fraud checks flag it, and completing identity verification on your profile raises the limit, with support reachable at support@royale.gg.

Fees and shipping

Box prices and your balance are both in US dollars. Orders go out on weekdays only, with one to four weeks for the US, UK and EEA and ten to twenty days elsewhere, and a tracking number arrives by email once an order ships. Customs, duties and taxes are the buyer’s own. A return is open for 30 days on an item that is wrong, damaged or not what the page described, with the original packaging and the cost of sending it back on you, and orders can be cancelled before they ship.

Support and track record

Support runs by email at support@royale.gg and by a ticket opened on the site, and the site says it resolves a flagged transfer of value within 24 hours. The site says it sources its goods from verified third-party suppliers and some directly from the manufacturer, and that an item which turns out not to be genuine is covered by a full refund policy.

Who it suits

Royale.gg suits shoppers after fashion, watches or golf gear, and anyone who wants a box that can hold a designer bag or a luxury watch rather than a pack of cards. The rates on each box page make it easy to see what a box holds before you spend, and the shipping and trade-in routes mean an item can come home or go back to the site.
