Panini Prizm Draft Picks shows football and basketball players mostly in their college uniforms: the newest pro draft class, players still in college, and established names pictured at the schools they came from. Like Panini’s main Prizm release, its base cards come in a run of Prizm color parallels. The 2025 football edition came out on December 3, 2025, and a hobby box holds 4 packs of 10 cards with four autographs. Its 200 base cards come in 29 Prizm parallels.
What is in a 2025 Prizm Draft Picks football box?
| Format | Packs per box | Cards per pack | In each box |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hobby | 4 | 10 | 4 autographs, 4 base Silver Prizms, 8 more base Prizms, 8 inserts |
| 1st Off the Line (FOTL) | 4 | 10 | 1 Shimmer autograph numbered to 15 or fewer and 3 more autographs; 1 Shimmer base parallel numbered to 15 or fewer; 4 base Silver Prizms, 8 more base Prizms, 8 inserts |
| Mega | 6 | 10 | 18 exclusive parallels |
A blaster box holds 6 packs of 5 cards.
A hobby case holds 16 boxes, and the contents per box are expected counts. FOTL boxes came out November 25, 2025, before the hobby boxes. By Rip.fan’s arithmetic, a hobby box holds 40 cards, and the named items account for 24 of them. Some colors are retail-only: Gold Ice and Gold Flash come only in mega boxes and Neon Pink Pulsar only in blasters. Our guide to hobby and retail boxes explains why formats carry different cards.
Who is in the base set?
The 2025 base set has 200 cards. They show 199 players from 63 schools, because Travis Hunter has two cards, 20 and 21. Each card names a school, not an NFL team, and some cards show the school’s logos while others have them airbrushed out, depending on the school.
The base set carries no rookie marks, but the autograph sets show how it is laid out. Draft Picks Autographs are for players who have moved to the pros, Jumbo Rookie Patch Autographs are geared to 2025 NFL draft picks, and Prospects Patch Autographs are for current college players. Matching names across the sets, with each player counted once:
| Base cards | Examples | Who also signs |
|---|---|---|
| 1 to 150 | Ashton Jeanty (13, Boise State), Travis Hunter (20 and 21, Colorado) | 72 of the 149 players sign Draft Picks Autographs and 35 sign Jumbo Rookie Patch Autographs |
| 151 to 170 | Jeremiah Smith (160, Ohio State), Arch Manning (166, Texas) | 13 of the 20 sign Prospects Patch Autographs |
| 171 to 200 | Joe Burrow (179, LSU), Peyton Manning (195, Tennessee), Patrick Mahomes II (198, Texas Tech) | 6 of the 30 sign Legends Patch Autographs |
The blocks are not perfectly clean (two players in the first block also sign Prospects Patch Autographs, and two in the second also sign Draft Picks Autographs), but they tell you roughly where a name sits. Because these cards show college photos, check how a player’s pro cards are marked before calling any of them a rookie card; our guide to what counts as a rookie card explains the RC mark.
How do the Prizm parallels work?
Each base card comes in 29 Prizm parallels, plus one more Shimmer version.
| Finish | Versions and runs | Count |
|---|---|---|
| Plain colors | Red 399, Blue 249, Purple 99, Gold 10, Black Gold 5 | 5 |
| Ice | Gold Ice and Red Ice (unnumbered), Purple Ice 199, Blue Ice 149 | 4 |
| Wave | Purple Wave and Ruby Wave (unnumbered), Blue Wave 299 | 3 |
| Finite | Red Finite 125, Blue Finite 89, Orange Finite 39, Black Finite 1 of 1 | 4 |
| Pulsar | Orange Pulsar 75, Green Pulsar 25, Neon Pink Pulsar 15 | 3 |
| Flash | Gold Flash 49, Red Flash 49 | 2 |
| Shimmer | Gold Shimmer 15, Black Shimmer 1 of 1 | 2 |
| Other | Silver, Green, Snakeskin and White Sparkle (unnumbered), Mojo 25, Gold Vinyl 1 of 1 | 6 |
Several stamps fit two or three cards. A /49 card is Gold Flash or Red Flash, a /25 card is Green Pulsar or Mojo, a /15 card is Gold Shimmer or Neon Pink Pulsar, and a 1 of 1 is Black Finite, Black Shimmer or Gold Vinyl. Name the color before you trust the stamp. Our guides to sports card parallels and serial-numbered cards explain how numbered colors work.
The Silver Prizm also comes signed. 161 of the 200 base cards appear in Base Silver Prizms Autographs, each under its base card’s number and name.
What autographs and inserts are there?
The autograph sets:

The inserts come in 13 sets, from Brilliance and Prizm Break to On Campus, and Manga, Stained Glass and Dual Color Blast are super short prints. Stained Glass cards of players still in college carry the Rated Prospect logo. Our guide to autographs, patches and short prints explains these card types.
How does the basketball edition compare?
The basketball edition came out in January 2025.
| 2025 football | 2024-25 basketball | |
|---|---|---|
| Packs per hobby box | 4 of 10 cards | 4 of 10 cards |

| Inserts per box | 8 | 4 |

| Prizm parallels both sites list | 29 | 32 |
The basketball edition covers men’s and women’s players, and includes players shown with the G League Ignite, such as Ron Holland II, and ten marked International. The 32 parallels include three Shimmer versions for FOTL boxes, Blue (19), Red (9) and Green (3). Manga, Stained Glass, Color Blast and Color Wheel are hobby-only short prints, and Net Marvels is a new insert.
How to check a Prizm Draft Picks card before you buy
- Read the card number and the school, then place the card in its block.
- Name the Prizm color, then match the stamp to the table, since several stamps fit two or three colors.
- For a signed Silver Prizm, check that the number matches the player’s base card.
- Measure the borders with our centering checker.
- Price the exact card and color from recent sales, as our guide to finding what a card sold for explains. If you sell on Whatnot, the seller fee calculator shows what you keep after its fees.
