Beyond the Brave is Konami’s fall 2026 booster set for Yu-Gi-Oh!, launched in North America on October 9, 2026, two days after it reached Konami-certified official stores on October 7. It holds 100 cards, split 50 Commons, 26 Super Rares, 14 Ultra Rares and 10 Secret Rares, and 25 of them also come as Starlight Rares, 5 of those in extended art. A pack lists at $4.49.

When did Beyond the Brave come out, and what does a pack cost?

Date or price
Konami-certified official stores, North America Wednesday, October 7, 2026
Launch, North America Friday, October 9, 2026
Release, Europe October 8, 2026
MSRP $4.49 per pack

The store date and the launch date follow the pattern on Konami’s recent set pages: the store date is the Wednesday, two days before the Friday launch. Our guide to Yu-Gi-Oh! set release dates lists every recent set.

Konami gave 9 cards a pack for Supreme Darkness, the January 2025 set, but not for later sets, so read the count on the wrapper and the box label. Our guide to Yu-Gi-Oh! booster boxes explains how to work out what a box holds.

What is in the 100-card set?

Rarity Cards in the set Also comes as
Common 50
Super Rare 26
Ultra Rare 14
Secret Rare 10
Extended art versions 5 cards An extended art Ultra Rare and a Starlight Rare
Starlight versions 20 more cards A Starlight Rare

That makes 25 cards with a Starlight Rare version.

Some versions share one number. Audhumla, Progenitor of the Frozen Expanse is BETB-EN081 both as an Ultra Rare and as a Starlight Rare, and it is a world premiere card that also comes in extended art. Verre, the Maid of Endymion is listed the same way, at BETB-EN098, as an Ultra Rare and a Starlight Rare. So the number alone will not tell a Starlight Rare from the standard print: check the foil.

The Starlight look changed shortly before this set. Konami Europe’s July 2, 2026 announcement said Chaos Origins brought richer colors and a rainbow foil border in place of the gray outer border. Chaos Origins is the row just before Beyond the Brave in the comparison table below. Our guide to Yu-Gi-Oh! rarities shows how to tell each foil apart, and the secret rare entry explains how Pokémon uses the term.

How are Beyond the Brave cards numbered?

Each card carries the set code, a language code and a number. Fisherman of Legend is BETB-EN004, a Common, with a release date of October 9, 2026. Read the number with the rarity, because, as Audhumla and Verre show, one number can cover two printings.

Our card number entry explains the basic idea, using Pokémon’s number-over-total format, and the guide to checking a Yu-Gi-Oh! card’s value covers set code, rarity and edition.

What does the set feature?

The set has four main threads:

  • Joey Wheeler. New versions of cards tied to Joey, built around one Spell Card.
  • Aster Phoenix. Reimagined Destiny HERO cards.
  • Atlantis. Cards tied to Atlantis and Daedalus.
  • The Ashtra cards. A theme built around Trap Cards.

It also has world premiere cards, Audhumla among them, and a few cards for themes from earlier sets, such as Verre.

How does Beyond the Brave compare with earlier booster sets?

The eight sets in the table below, from January 2025 to January 2027, carry the same split of 50 Commons, 26 Super Rares, 14 Ultra Rares and 10 Secret Rares. What changes is the layer on top. This pattern does not cover every Konami booster: smaller sets, special packs and other sets, such as Blazing Dominion on May 8, 2026, sit outside it.

Set Launch, North America Official-store date Versions on top of the base split
Supreme Darkness January 24, 2025 January 22, 2025 24 cards also as Quarter Century Secret Rares, plus 1 card only in that rarity
Alliance Insight May 2, 2025 April 30, 2025 The same as Supreme Darkness
Duelist’s Advance July 4, 2025 July 2, 2025 24 cards also as Starlight Rares, plus 1 card only as a Starlight Rare
Doom of Dimensions September 26, 2025 September 24, 2025 25 cards as Starlight Rares
Burst Protocol February 6, 2026 February 4, 2026 25 cards as Starlight Rares
Beyond the Brave October 9, 2026 October 7, 2026 5 extended art Ultra Rares and Starlight Rares, plus 20 more Starlight Rares
Immortal Phoenix January 29, 2027 January 27, 2027 The same as Beyond the Brave

Chaos Origins launched in North America on July 3, 2026, with 5 extended art Ultra Rares and Starlight Rares, plus 20 more Starlight Rares on top of the base split.

  1. The base split is the same in all eight.
  2. The top layer changed twice. Quarter Century Secret Rares gave way to Starlight Rares with Duelist’s Advance, and extended art cards joined the Starlight Rares with Chaos Origins. Konami billed Alliance Insight, with Quarter Century Stampede the month before, as the last appearance of Quarter Century Secret Rares.
  3. The price has held. Every set in the table with a listed pack price lists at $4.49.

Set contents and names may change before launch, so check the Immortal Phoenix page again closer to its launch.

Does Konami publish card rates for Beyond the Brave?

No. There is no rate for any kind of card in the set. When Starlight Rares came back with Duelist’s Advance, they were said only to turn up at about the same rate as Quarter Century Secret Rares had in recent years, with no figure. Treat any rate you see elsewhere as someone else’s count, not Konami’s.

How do you check Beyond the Brave card prices?

Rip.fan’s price pages and card price lookup cover English Pokémon cards only, so use sold listings:

  1. Match the number and the rarity. BETB-EN081 as an Ultra Rare and as a Starlight Rare are two different cards to a buyer.
  2. Check for extended art. Five cards come in extended art, so match the artwork as well as the foil.
  3. Use dated sold prices. Our guides to finding what a card sold for and market, listed and sold prices walk through it.
  4. Check the card is genuine. See our guide to spotting fake Yu-Gi-Oh! cards.

A booster box is sealed product, so buy one with the maker’s wrap intact. For other recent sets, see our guides to One Piece OP-17, Lorcana’s Hyperia City and Magic’s Reality Fracture, or the trading card hub.
