Rarity Collection is Konami’s series of all-foil Yu-Gi-Oh! booster sets in which most cards come in several foil rarities. Konami counts five so far, including two Quarter Century sets, coded RA01 to RA05. They ran from November 3, 2023 to April 17, 2026. The packs changed a lot along the way: RA02 moved to a 9-card pack with twice RA01’s Ultra Rares and Secret Rares, the two Quarter Century sets took one card of each 5-card pack from a separate pool, and Rarity Collection V swapped Quarter Century Secret Rares for Starlight Rares and variant art cards.

Which sets are Rarity Collections?

Code Product Launch date Cards per pack Price per pack
RA02 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection II Friday, May 24, 2024 9 $9.99
RA04 Quarter Century Stampede Friday, April 11, 2025 5 $5.99
RA05 Rarity Collection V Friday, April 17, 2026 5 $5.99

RA01, the 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection, launched Friday, November 3, 2023. RA03, the November 2024 Quarter Century set, launched Friday, November 8, 2024, with 5 cards per pack.

RA02, RA04 and RA05 each have two dates: one for stores in Konami’s official store program and a general launch date two days later. The store dates are Wednesday, May 22, 2024, Wednesday, April 9, 2025 and Wednesday, April 15, 2026. An RA04 pack holds 5 cards: 4 from the core set and 1 from a second pool. RA04 uses RA03’s pack configuration, so an RA03 pack holds 5 cards too. Our guide to Yu-Gi-Oh! set release dates places the four from 2024 on among Konami’s other sets.

How big is each set?

Set Size
RA01 Every card in every one of seven rarities, as in RA02
RA02 79 cards, every one in every rarity, none repeated from RA01
RA03 A core set and a separate 200-card pool, the set and pack configuration RA04 reuses
RA04 A primary core set of 80 cards in all rarities, new variant art versions added to its Quarter Century Secret Rare pool, and another 200-card pool; the set size is printed as TBD
RA05 152 cards: a main pool of about 80, plus variant art cards (10 of them extended art, 58 others)

For RA05, 10 plus 58 is 68 variant art cards, and 152 less 68 leaves 84 for the main pool, by Rip.fan’s arithmetic.

What does each pack hold?

The makeup moved twice.

Set What each pack holds
RA01 Half of RA02’s Ultra Rares and Secret Rares, so 2 and 1 by Rip.fan’s arithmetic
RA02 3 Super Rares, 4 Ultra Rares and 2 Secret Rares
RA03 The same setup as RA04 below, since RA04 uses RA03’s pack configuration
RA04 4 core cards and 1 card from the 200-card pool, as a Platinum or Quarter Century Secret Rare
RA05 4 cards from the main pool in a range of rarities, then 1 variant art card

One rule worth knowing: RA04’s core set of 80 cards comes in all rarities but with no duplicate Quarter Century Secret Rares, as before. The database fits that for RA03. Super Polymerization has a Quarter Century Secret Rare in an earlier 2023 set, and its RA03 printing, RA03-EN053, comes in six rarities, from Super Rare to Collector’s Rare, with none of them a Quarter Century Secret Rare.

RA04’s 200-card pool includes cards fans picked in an online poll Konami ran. Most of RA05’s variant art cards carry short catch phrases, some in English and some in Japanese, with reworked backgrounds and close-ups, and 10 of them are extended art cards, a first for the Yu-Gi-Oh! TCG, with art running to every edge.

Which foil rarities does each set use?

Seven in every set, but not always the same seven. Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring’s RA01 and RA04 printings come in all seven and Super Polymerization’s RA03 printing in six of them, and RA03’s 200-card pool includes Platinum and Quarter Century Secret Rares:

Rarity Sets
Super Rare, Ultra Rare, Secret Rare RA01 to RA05
Platinum Secret Rare RA01 to RA05
Collector’s Rare and Ultimate Rare, in what Konami calls a prismatic style RA01 to RA05
Quarter Century Secret Rare RA01 to RA04
Starlight Rare RA05

At RA02’s launch, the two prismatic rarities, the Collector’s Rare and the Ultimate Rare, had been available only overseas until recently; the Ultimate Rare carries a special 3D varnish. RA04 and Alliance Insight, a few weeks later, were billed as the last releases with Quarter Century Secret Rares. Our guide to Yu-Gi-Oh! rarities shows how each foil looks.

Does Konami publish card rates?

For some positions in the pack, as in RA02:

Position Konami’s stated rate
Each Ultra Rare 1 in 6 is a prismatic Collector’s Rare or Ultimate Rare instead
Each Secret Rare 1 in 4 is a Platinum Secret Rare or a Quarter Century Secret Rare instead

Each position has its own rate, so RA02’s 9-card pack, with four Ultra Rares and two Secret Rares, carries six positions where a rarer foil can turn up. RA02’s pack has twice as many Ultra Rares and Secret Rares as RA01’s, which makes three such positions in RA01’s pack by Rip.fan’s arithmetic. RA05’s pack is set out in a chart, and our rarities guide lists the rates in it, including the Starlight Rare in the Secret Rare position. A rate describes many packs taken together; it does not promise what any one pack or box holds. Read the number of packs per box from the display box’s own label, as our guide to Yu-Gi-Oh! booster boxes explains.

How do the set codes work?

Three things to know:

  • One code, several rarities. Ash Blossom & Joyous Spring is RA01-EN008 in all seven RA01 rarities, and Gold Sarcophagus is RA02-EN052 in all seven RA02 rarities. The code does not tell you which foil a copy is.
  • The code and the product name differ. RA03 and RA04 are sold under Quarter Century names, with no “Rarity Collection” in them. The database also writes the second and fifth sets with numbers, as 25th Anniversary Rarity Collection 2 and Rarity Collection 5, where the product names use II and V.
  • The database date can differ from the launch date. It dates RA03 to November 7, 2024, a day before its launch, and RA05 to April 10, 2026, a week before. Use the date to tell printings apart, not to say when a set went on sale.

Ash Blossom’s RA05 printing, RA05-EN091, comes only in Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare, and so does Super Polymerization’s RA05-EN149, one of RA05’s extended art cards. Our Beyond the Brave guide covers Starlight Rares in Konami’s core sets.

How do you check Rarity Collection card prices?

Not on Rip.fan, whose card price lookup and price pages cover English Pokémon cards only. Price a card from sold listings, in this order:

  1. Pin down the code and the rarity. RA01-EN008 alone covers seven different cards to a buyer. Our guide to checking a Yu-Gi-Oh! card’s value shows how to match both.
  2. Check the version. An RA05 variant art card and the same card from another set are separate printings.
  3. Use dated sold prices. Our guide to finding what a card sold for explains the method.
  4. Check it is genuine. Our guide to spotting fake Yu-Gi-Oh! cards covers the checks, and our secret rare entry explains the rarity across card games.

If you plan to grade a card, see our guide to grading Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh! and One Piece cards. The trading card hub collects the rest, and the Lorcana First Chapter and One Piece OP-01 guides cover other card games.
