Topps Dynasty is a high-end Topps baseball release in which a box holds one card: an autograph relic or a cut signature, with every card numbered to 10 or fewer. The 2025 edition reached shops on June 17, 2026. Each player has several card numbers, each with its own run, so a stamp of /10 tells you less than it seems.
What comes in a Topps Dynasty box?
One card, and it arrives encased. The patch autographs are on-card, meaning signed on the card itself rather than on a sticker.
| Edition | Released | Box | Main set |
|---|---|---|---|
| 2024 | June 27, 2025 | 1 card | 469 cards, numbered to 10 or fewer, listed at 1:2 |
| 2025 | June 17, 2026 | 1 card | 617 cards, numbered to 10, listed at 1:3 |
A case of the 2024 edition holds 5 boxes.
Note the dates: each edition reached shops in the middle of the next year, so the year in the name is not the year it came out. Our guide to sports card sets by tier shows where releases like this sit.
Why does one player have so many card numbers?
Because each number is a separate card. Dynasty card numbers carry a set code, the player’s initials and a suffix: Aaron Judge’s main-set cards run from DAP-AJ1 to DAP-AJ10. Each of those ten is numbered to 10 and comes in a Silver version numbered to 5 and a Gold one of one. For many players the cards differ only in the photo.
The counts for 2025:
- The Dynasty Autograph Patch set has 617 card numbers across 127 players. Five players have 10 numbers each: Aaron Judge, Bobby Witt Jr., Cal Raleigh, Fernando Tatis Jr. and Jose Altuve.
- Its second design, listed as B Design, has 318 numbers across 112 players, 9 of them for Judge.
- The most common counts in the main set are 3, 5 and 7 numbers per player.
So the arithmetic runs like this, in Rip.fan’s figures:
| What you count | Copies |
|---|---|
| One card number: base /10, Silver /5 and Gold 1/1 | 16 |
| Judge’s 10 main-set numbers | 160 |
| Judge’s 9 B Design numbers | 144 |
| Judge’s Autograph Patch cards in both designs | 304 |
The decision rule follows. “Judge, numbered to 10” fits 20 different 2025 cards: ten main-set numbers, nine B Design numbers and a Jumbo Patch. To know which one you are looking at, match the full number with its suffix, the design, the version and the serial. Our guide to how serial-numbered cards work explains the stamp itself.
How often does each 2025 set turn up?
In most products a rate is shared across many packs in a box. In Dynasty the box is the pack, so a listed rate of 1:79 means about one card per 79 boxes.
| Set | Cards | Numbered to | Listed rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Dynasty Autograph Patch | 617 | 10 | 1:3 |
| Silver version | 617 | 5 | 1:6 |
| Gold version | 617 | 1 | 1:27 |
| Dynasty Autograph Patch, B Design | 318 | 10 | 1:6 (Silver 1:11, Gold 1:52) |
| Autographed Dual Relics | 47 | 5 | 1:71 |
| Sponsor Patch Autograph | 43 | 5 | 1:78 |
| Autographed Jumbo Patch | 43 | 10 | 1:79 |
| Autographed Batting Glove | 40 | 5 | 1:83 |
| Autographed Special Event Baseball Leather | 36 | 5 | 1:92 |
| Dual Autographed Patch | 28 | 5 | 1:119 |
| On This Day Autographed Patch | 19 | 5 | 1:173 |
| Autographed MLB Logo Patch | 87 | 1 | 1:188 |
| Triple Autographed Patch | 13 | 5 | 1:251 |
| Special Event Autographed Patch | 11 | 5 | 1:298 |
| Dual Autographed Batting Glove | 6 | 5 | 1:554 |
| Dual Autographed MLB Logo Patch | 25 | 1 | 1:669 |
Most of these sets also have a Gold one of one, listed at a longer rate. Any one box can differ from a listed rate. The main set’s base version, at 1:3, is the most frequent: about one box in three holds one.
What are the patch and relic sets?
Each is named for the piece inside.
- Jumbo Patch. These carry a larger swatch than the main set’s.
- MLB Logo Patch. Every card is a one of one, and a dual version pairs two players.
- Batting Glove. Numbered to 5, with Wrist Strap and Jumbo Logo versions, each a one of one.
- Special Event. These cards hold pieces of jerseys and baseballs. The ball itself is the focus of the Baseball Leather cards.
- On This Day. These mark notable performances, with details of the patch from MLB’s authentication. The 2025 product sets gemstones beside patches and autographs to highlight notable performances.
Our guide to patch cards and RPAs explains the patch terms, from logo and tag pieces to how makers label where a swatch came from. The memorabilia card and autograph card entries have the short versions.
What are cut signatures?
A cut autograph is a signature not signed on the card but cut from another item, such as a check. Cuts usually feature subjects who cannot or do not sign cards, most of them no longer living. In 2025 Dynasty, three sets carry them, all one of ones:
- Dynasty Cut Signatures, listed at 1:251.
- Dual Autographs Cut Signatures, 8 cards at 1:1,003.
- Dual Relic Cut Signatures, 5 cards at 1:3,209. Two relics come with the cut autograph of a Hall of Famer.
A one of one listed at 1:3,209 means about one card per 3,209 boxes, by Rip.fan’s arithmetic. Our guide to sticker and on-card autographs covers how signatures reach a card.
How to check a Dynasty card before you buy
- Confirm the edition year. The 2024 edition came out in mid-2025, and the 2025 edition in mid-2026.
- Read the full card number, suffix included, and find it on the checklist.
- Name the design (main or B Design) and the version: base /10, Silver /5 or Gold 1/1.
- Check that the serial fits the run: a Silver version reads out of 5, and a Gold reads 1 of 1.
- For a patch card, compare the piece with its set’s name, as the patch card guide explains.
- Price the exact number and version from recent sales, as our guide to finding what a card sold for explains. A sale of another Judge number is a different card.
Rip.fan’s card price lookup covers English Pokémon cards only, so sold listings are where to price Dynasty. If you plan to grade a card, the grading cost calculator lists service levels and prices, and our guide to grading sports cards covers the graders. Our guides to Panini Flawless and Topps Museum Collection cover two more high-end boxes, and the sports cards hub lists the rest.
