Topps Tribute is a high-end Topps baseball release built around autographs and memorabilia cards. A hobby box holds six packs of three cards, with three autographs and three memorabilia cards in every box. The 2026 edition came out on July 29, 2026, and the 2025 edition on April 16, 2025. Each has a 100-card base set with numbered color parallels, but the colors and their print runs changed between the two years, so a Tribute card’s year matters as much as its stamp.

What comes in a Topps Tribute box?

2025 edition 2026 edition
Released April 16, 2025 July 29, 2026
Packs per box 6 6
Cards per pack 3 3
Boxes per case 4 4
Listed in each box 3 autographs, 3 memorabilia cards 3 autographs, 3 memorabilia cards

By Rip.fan’s arithmetic, a box holds 18 cards, and the six listed cards come to one for each pack. Beyond those, the 2025 and 2026 checklists list only the base set, its parallels and, in 2026, one unsigned insert set.

The 2026 autographs are on-card, meaning signed on the card itself rather than on a sticker. Our guide to sticker and on-card autographs shows how to tell the two apart.

The case got smaller in 2025: it went from six boxes in 2024 to four. The 2024 edition came out on March 27, 2024, so the late-July date in 2026 stands out as later than normal. Tribute comes as a hobby box; our guide to hobby and retail boxes explains the difference.

How is the base set built?

Both years have 100 base cards, but the rookies sit in different places.

  • 2025: cards 1 to 80 are current and retired stars, and cards 81 to 100 are 20 rookies, each marked RC.
  • 2026: the 100 cards run as one list. 35 of them carry the RC mark, from card 4 (Payton Tolle) to card 98 (Yanquiel Fernández). Retired greats sit among them: card 3 is Babe Ruth and card 100 is Barry Bonds.

So in 2025 the card number alone told you whether a base card was a rookie, and in 2026 it does not. Look for the RC mark instead, which our guide to what counts as a rookie card explains.

How did the Gold parallel change?

The color ladder changed between 2025 and 2026.

Color 2025 run 2026 run
Blue 150 150
Green 99 99
Gold 75 50
Purple 50 75
Orange 25 25
Pink Not in the set 10
Red 10 5
Black 1 of 1 1 of 1

In 2026 the printing plates are numbered 1 of 1.

Gold and Purple swapped runs, Red was cut in half and Pink came in at 10. In practice, a Gold base card numbered to 50 is a 2026 card. A Gold one numbered to 75 or a Red one numbered to 10 fits 2025, but the 2024 set shows the same two runs, so those stamps do not separate 2025 from 2024. A listing that names only the color can mislead, so confirm the year first. Our guides to sports card parallels and serial-numbered cards explain how numbered colors work.

The signed sets borrow from the same ladder. In 2026, Tribute Autographs come in the full run from Blue /150 to Black 1 of 1, plus printing plates, while a smaller set such as Calling the Shot Dual Autographs has only three parallels: Pink /10, Red /5 and Black 1 of 1.

What autograph and memorabilia sets are there?

The sets, with each card number counted once:

Group 2025 sets 2025 card numbers 2026 sets 2026 card numbers
Autographs 7 256 10 273
Autographs with memorabilia 4 128 4 146
Memorabilia only 6 173 5 152
Unsigned insert None None 1 20

Tribute Autographs is the largest set each year, with 105 card numbers in 2025 and 106 in 2026. A few others stand out:

  • Calling the Shot Dual Autographs pair a player with a broadcaster, one signature on each side. The 2026 set pairs Joe Buck with Kris Bryant, for example.
  • Tribute to Cleats Autographs were new in 2025 and focus on players’ shoes.
  • Career Achievement Award cards honor one player a year. In 2025 it was George Brett, in one-of-one autographs. In 2026 it is Barry Bonds, with 20 signed card numbers and 20 unsigned ones.
  • Tributaries Relics used pieces of City Connect jerseys in 2025.
  • Crest Calligraphy, with 35 card numbers, is all-new in 2026.

Our guides to autographs, patches and short prints and patch cards and RPAs cover these card types in general.

How do you tell the sets apart?

By the card number, which starts with a code for its set. Aaron Judge’s Tribute To Topps card, for example, is TRT-AJ. These are the 2026 codes, with their card numbers:

Code 2026 set Card numbers
TA Tribute Autographs 106
PPA Prime Patch Autograph Relics 69
SOA Stamp of Approval 38
TCC Crest Calligraphy 35
TJR Jumbo Relics 34
TTTA Tribute To Threads Autograph Relics 31
MR Milestone Relics 30
DR Dual Relics 30
APA Autograph Patches 27
LIA League Inauguration Autographs 23
T Tributaries Relics 20
TCAA and TCA Career Achievement Award, signed and unsigned 20 each
MRA Milestone Relics Jumbo Black Autographs 19
TRT Tribute To Topps Autographs 16
CTSDA Calling the Shot Dual Autographs 15
TTDA Tribute Tandem Dual Autographs 10
TTC Tribute To Cleats Autographs 10

Two more autograph sets use the codes PTGA, with 30 card numbers, and TTG, with 8 (each TTG dual card has two lines, one for each signer, and the 8 counts each card once). Triple Relics are coded TTR. Some codes changed from 2025: that year’s Tributaries cards use TT, its Milestone Relics use MRB and its jumbo autographs use MJBA. Read the year and the code together. Our guide to reading a sports card checklist explains how codes and print runs appear on a list.

How to check a Tribute card before you buy

  1. Confirm the card’s year, then match the color and the stamp to that year’s ladder above.
  2. Read the set code and match it to the set, using the year’s own list.
  3. For an autograph, check whether it is on-card, then look at the signature closely, as our guide to checking an autograph card explains.
  4. Measure the borders with our centering checker.
  5. Price the exact card, year, color and stamp from recent sales, as our guide to finding what a card sold for explains. If you sell on Whatnot, the seller fee calculator shows what you keep after its fees.
