Topps Museum Collection is a high-end Topps baseball release built on signed cards and memorabilia, and since the 2025 edition a hobby box is a single pack of eight cards. The 2026 edition keeps that format: one pack of 8, eight boxes to a case, with an autograph and an autograph relic in each box. Because a box is one pack, every listed pack rate is also a box rate, which changes how to read the checklist.

How did the Museum Collection box change?

It shrank from 20 cards to 8 in one year.

Edition Box Boxes per case Listed per box
2024 4 packs (mini-boxes) of 5 cards 12 An autograph relic, an autograph, a quad relic and one more relic
2025 1 pack of 8 cards 8 An autograph relic, an autograph, a relic or quad relic, three base cards and two base parallels
2026 1 pack of 8 cards 8 An autograph relic and an autograph

The 2024 edition came out July 31, 2024, and the 2025 edition in February 2026.

The 2025 box held eight cards against 20 in 2024, with one fewer memorabilia card. The 2025 edition came out in February 2026, so the year on the box and the year it reached shops can differ. The box autograph is on-card in each year. Our guide to sports card sets by tier shows where premium releases like this one sit.

What is in the 2026 base set?

A hundred cards. The base set features stars from across generations: Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb and Honus Wagner sit beside current players such as Aaron Judge. 28 of the 100 are flagged RC. Each player’s team is named, past ones included, so Roy Campanella appears with the Brooklyn Dodgers. Our guide to what counts as a rookie card explains the RC flag.

How rare is each 2026 base parallel?

Here the one-pack box matters. In most products, a 1:10 rate applies across the many packs in a box. In Museum Collection, 1:10 means about one per 10 boxes. The last column is Rip.fan’s arithmetic at one pack per box and eight boxes per case:

Base parallel Print run Listed rate About one per
Gold 275 1:2 2 boxes
Pink Sapphire 199 1:3 3 boxes
Sapphire 150 1:4 4 boxes
Amethyst 99 1:5 5 boxes
Ruby 75 1:7 7 boxes
Amber 60 1:8 8 boxes (one case)
Turquoise 50 1:10 10 boxes (1.25 cases)
Blue Topaz 25 1:19 19 boxes (2.4 cases)
Black Diamond 10 1:46 46 boxes (5.75 cases)
Diamond 5 1:91 91 boxes (11.4 cases)
Printing plate 1 each 1:114 114 boxes (14.25 cases)
Emerald 1 1:456 456 boxes (57 cases)

Each card has four printing plates, one each in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Rates are averages across the whole print run, so any one box or case can differ.

In 2026, each print run belongs to one gem name, apart from the one-of-ones. So the stamp tells you the color: a card numbered to 60 can only be Amber. That does not carry across years, so for 2025 go by a card’s own stamp. Our guide to how serial-numbered cards work explains the stamp.

Which frames are numbered?

Museum Collection’s framed cards come in five frame colors, and whether a frame is numbered depends on the set. Aaron Judge’s framed cards show this split:

Frame Museum Framed Autographs Listed rate Museum Framed Autograph Relics Listed rate
Bronze Not numbered 1:21 Not numbered 1:22
Silver Not numbered 1:33 25 or fewer 1:39
Gold Not numbered 1:65 10 or fewer 1:118
Black Not numbered 1:129 5 or fewer 1:275
Wood Not numbered 1:600 One of one 1:1,216

A Black Frame autograph has no serial number, and the frame color is what sets it apart. Look at the frame in the photos, not just the stamp. There are 73 Museum Framed Autographs and 62 Framed Autograph Relics.

What other autographs and memorabilia are in it?

A lot, for an eight-card box. The 2026 edition has 9 autograph sets with 266 cards, 11 autograph relic sets, 9 relic sets with 540 cards, and 4 sets of one-of-one sketch cards. A few of them:

Set Kind Cards Listed rate
Archival Autographs Autograph 72 1:4
Meaningful Material Relics Relic 74 1:7
Museum Memorabilia I and II Relic 95 each 1:10 each
Showpieces Autograph 42 1:13
Momentous Material Jumbo Relics Relic 100 1:20
Atelier Autographed Book Cards Autograph 31 1:39
Momentous Material Jumbo Patch Autographs Autograph relic 85 1:44
Jumbo Lumber Bat Nameplate Relics Relic, each one of one 100 1:438

The Atelier cards are books that pair a player’s home stadium with an on-card signature. The Museum Memorabilia sets come in Jersey Number versions numbered to 10 or fewer, Team Logo versions to 5 or fewer, and one-of-one Sleeve Patch, Laundry Tag and silhouetted batter logo versions. The most common sketch card, Canvas Collection Originals, comes at 1:46, or about one per 46 boxes. Our guides to patch cards and RPAs and sticker and on-card autographs explain the card types.

How to check a Museum Collection card before you buy

  1. Confirm the edition year. Parallels and their runs change from year to year.
  2. For a 2026 base parallel, match the stamp to the gem name in the table above.
  3. For a framed card, name the set and the frame color. A framed autograph’s frame carries no number, so the photos have to show it.
  4. For a memorabilia card, check the swatch type, such as jersey number or team logo, against the set’s versions.
  5. Measure the borders with our centering checker, which shows the CGC and SGC grades a centering split allows.
  6. Price the exact card and version from recent sales, as our guide to finding what a card sold for explains.

Rip.fan’s card price lookup covers English Pokémon cards only, so sold listings are where to price Museum Collection. If you sell on Whatnot, the seller fee calculator shows what you keep after its fees. Our guides to Topps Finest and Panini National Treasures cover two more products, and the sports cards hub lists the rest.

Frequently asked questions

What is a Primary Pieces Triple Relic?

A 2026 Museum Collection card that holds 3 game-used pieces from a single player.

Who could buy 2025 Museum Collection first?

Members of Topps' 582 Montgomery Club, in an exclusive presale on December 8, 2025.

How do you spot a Museum Collection base parallel?

By its foil color. On 2025 cards, printed on thick stock with gold and silver detailing, that foil can be subtle, so compare it with a plain base card.

How do Museum Framed Autograph Patch cards compare with Framed Autographs?

They follow the same framed design with a patch piece added, and they turn up far less often.
