How we tested
We signed in to Shiny on our own account, went through a pack page and its marketplace, and kept screenshots of both. Shiny’s card rates, trade-in and shipping are scored from what it publishes, next to what our screenshots show. This review is a human and AI collaboration: our own hands-on look at the site supplied the screenshots and notes, and AI wrote the review from them.
What stood out
Shiny looked fair to us. It holds its cards in its own vault, every card comes graded in a PSA holder, and each pack page lays out its card rates tier by tier before you pay, so you know what a pack can give before you open it.
How it works
Shiny, a new site still in open beta, sells packs of graded cards, mostly Pokémon, with One Piece cards too. Its operator is Shiny Labs Inc., a Delaware company. A pack page shows the pack, a buy button with a choice of one, three, five or ten packs, and a free demo open, which lets you watch an opening before you spend anything. Our guide to slab packs explains how packs of graded cards work, and our guide to how online pack opening works covers the rest of the process.
Under the buy button sit the card rates. The Pokémon Pro Pack we looked at split its cards into five tiers, from bronze up to a top tier named for the site, each with a value range and the share of packs it comes up in. A card you open lands in your vault rather than in a parcel: you can keep it there, list it, sell it back, or redeem it for delivery.
The marketplace lists graded cards for sale, newest first, each with its grade label and listed price. You can search it, filter by a price range, and keep track of the offers you have made from a second tab. Most of the cards in it when we looked were One Piece cards.
Card rates and what a pack holds
Card rates are the reason to start with Shiny. Each tier on a pack page carries both its value range and the share of packs it comes up in, so you can see the shape of a pack before you commit: how much of it sits in the cheaper tiers, and how little sits at the top. The tiers also tell you what kind of card you are buying, since every one of them is a PSA graded slab and not a raw card.
Packs run from $25 to $250. Shiny also runs zero-fee packs: those carry a full-value instant buyback with no fee, so you can sell the card straight back at market value until it is recorded to your account, about 15 minutes after opening. None were live when its page was last read, so treat that page as a description of what arrives rather than a shelf you can buy from today.
Trade-in offers and selling
A card from a standard pack comes with a quick sale offer. For the first 24 hours it pays 94.39% of the card’s market value, less a 2% fee, and from then until day 7 it pays 85%, less the same fee. After that a standing offer pays 72.92% of the card’s price, less the 4% marketplace fee. Decide on any card you don’t want to keep within the first day, while the offer is at its highest.
You can also sell to other collectors on Shiny’s marketplace. Listing costs nothing up front and buyers pay no fee, and a sale there carries a 4% seller fee. To test that offer against recent sales, use our guide on how to judge a trade-in offer.
Fees and shipping
You pay by credit card. Cards wait in the vault until you redeem them, and a redeemed card travels worldwide, tracked and insured. Shiny uses third-party vault providers alongside its own storage, and each card in supply is backed one to one by the slab in custody. If you are weighing the vault against delivery, our vault or ship it home guide lays out the trade-offs.

Support and track record
Shiny Labs Inc. is a Delaware company, and the site has been open to collectors since late February 2026.
Who it suits
Shiny suits a graded Pokémon collector who reads the card rates before buying and likes being early to a new site, with a high first offer on any card they would rather sell. If you also collect One Piece, the marketplace gives you a second way in, and the demo open lets you see a pack come apart before you pay for one.
