Double rare

A double rare is a Pokémon card rarity marked with two solid black stars. It was introduced with the Scarlet & Violet expansion and is the rarity of the regular Pokémon ex cards.

In more detail

Pokémon cards show rarity with symbols: a black circle, diamond or star for common, uncommon and rare cards, and two black stars for a double rare. Bulbapedia lists the double rare among the kinds of card that can fill the rare spot every English pack is guaranteed, alongside regular and holofoil rares.

The rarity covers the regular prints of Pokémon ex, including Tera Pokémon ex and Mega Evolution Pokémon ex. These cards are numbered inside the set's main list. The full art prints of the same Pokémon are ultra rares, numbered above the printed total.

Japanese cards use letters in place of symbols and mark this tier RR. The symbol gives the tier, but the price follows the card itself, so match the Pokémon, the set and the card number when you compare sales.
