Slab pack

In more detail

Instead of a wrapper with several loose cards, a slab pack holds one graded card in its case. Buying the pack buys one slab from the published pool. Fanatics Collect's Instant Rips, for example, are packs of a single graded card, and the cards come from all the major grading services.

Because the card is graded, its company, grade and cert number are known the moment it is revealed. Look the cert number up on the grading company's site and compare the record with the card in the case, as you would for any slab.

Check the pool before you buy. Sites publish a checklist that lists the cards a pack can hold and how they group by tier, and that list is what the pack price should be weighed against.
