Reverse holofoil

A reverse holofoil is a printing with the foil on the body of the card and not on the picture. It is a separate printing of a card, priced on its own, and modern Pokémon packs hold one or two.

Also called Reverse holo.

In more detail

On a regular holofoil the shine is on the picture. On a reverse holofoil it is the other way round: the foil covers the card apart from the picture, or the picture takes a different foil pattern. A reverse holofoil copy exists for most cards in a set, apart from its ultra rare, secret and full-art cards.

Legendary Collection was the first set to include them, and each pack held one. Packs in the Scarlet & Violet era hold two.

Because it is its own printing, a reverse holofoil has its own price and its own listing. Match the listing to the card in your hand, since a regular and a reverse holofoil copy of one card are two items.
