How Boxed.gg and Rips by Triumph differ
Rips by Triumph is an app, on iPhone or Android, and opening a pack there is a show. A One Piece pack opens inside a sunken chest, and a Pokémon pack lights up orange on a starry backdrop before the card flips. Boxed.gg runs in a browser and keeps it short. You choose one pack from a row, as we did for each of our two boxes there, and the card appears on a result screen with Sell and Open Again buttons.
At Triumph every card travels alone to a US address, and cards can't sit in the app for long waiting to ship together, since an unshipped card gets sold for you at the app's value. Boxed.gg lets you bundle. Up to 15 cards withdrawn within one 24-hour period go out for a single charge set by destination, and it ships outside the US too.
Triumph mixes graded and raw cards, and the One Piece and Pokémon starter packs we opened there each gave a raw one. US collectors who want the spectacle and their cards at the door belong on Triumph. Boxed.gg suits someone outside the US, or anyone who likes to gather cards and ship them in one go.
