Konami released Beyond the Brave on October 9, 2026, with new Joey Wheeler cards and extended art treatments. The Yu-Gi-Oh! set keeps the rarity allocation used in Chaos Origins, including its extended art and Starlight Rare versions.

Joey’s cards join new Destiny HERO, Atlantis and Ashtra themes. For collectors choosing a finish, the extended art selection comes in both Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare versions.

October launch and pack MSRP

The Official Tournament Store launch began on October 7, 2026. The wider release followed 2 days later, on October 9, 2026.

As of October 23, 2026, Konami’s Beyond the Brave listing gives an MSRP of $4.49 per Pack. It is a suggested retail price.

The North American release calendar also listed the set for October 9, 2026, as of October 12, 2026. Its launch sits after Chaos Origins in that calendar.

Beyond the Brave matches the rarity allocation

Beyond the Brave and Chaos Origins are each 100-card sets. Their main rarity breakdowns match: each includes 50 Commons and 26 Super Rares, alongside 14 Ultra Rares and 10 Secret Rares.

The match extends beyond those main counts. Both sets offer 5 cards with extended art in Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare versions. Each also has another 20 cards offered as Starlight Rares.

Beyond the Brave changes the featured cards and themes without changing those published allocations. Extended art remains available across the Ultra Rare and Starlight Rare treatments, not solely through Starlight Rares.

Audhumla is a confirmed extended art card in Beyond the Brave. Konami identifies it as a world premiere addition and places it alongside the set’s Trap-focused support.

Starlight’s border change began with Chaos Origins

On July 2, 2026, Konami Europe introduced the revised Starlight finish with Chaos Origins. The update strengthened the colors and replaced the gray outer border with rainbow foil.

Chaos Origins also introduced extended art that reaches beyond the frame. Beyond the Brave follows that set with the same published allocation for extended art and additional Starlight versions.

The visual change to Starlight Rares predates Beyond the Brave. Its new character lineup arrives within the finish structure already used for Chaos Origins.

Joey, Aster and the new themes

Joey Wheeler’s lineup centers on Dark Time Wizard, with new takes on familiar cards linked to that Spell. Red-Eyes Black Dragon Exceed adds a Fusion Monster to the group.

Aster Phoenix’s cards expand Destiny HERO through Doom Overlord, Destro-Dogma and Dreadnought Master. The group draws on cards in the Deck, field and Graveyard, with new search and Fusion support.

The Atlantis theme connects Daedalus monsters with Umi. Its new cards include a Field Spell and Link Monsters, with effects built around monsters that mention Atlantis.

Ashtra focuses on face-down cards and Traps. Its Trap Cards can also become Tuner monsters, while its Synchro Monsters support further Trap use.

Audhumla supports Trap-based strategies and adds an extra effect for WATER-focused setups. Smaller additions include Verre for Endymion, Cappello for Clown Crew and Predaplant Daredevil.

What to do

  • Check whether an extended art listing names the Ultra Rare or Starlight Rare version.
  • Compare listings for the same finish, especially when the title only says extended art.
  • Compare a seller’s per-pack price with the dated MSRP, then check shipping charges in the checkout total.
