The Pokémon TCG has revealed Flowing Fists, its first expansion of 2027. The English release is scheduled for February 5, 2027, with Mega Lucario Z ex as its featured card.

The reveal gives English-language collectors a release date and an early look at the featured Pokémon. Collectors of Japanese cards have a separate release to follow: Aura Seeker.

Aura Seeker precedes the English expansion

Japan’s Aura Seeker is scheduled for November 27, 2026. It is the Japanese counterpart to Flowing Fists, placing its release 70 days before the English expansion.

English expansions do not always reproduce a single Japanese set exactly. Aura Seeker will offer a preview of some Flowing Fists cards, but the language editions need not have identical card lists.

The language split is relevant to collectors following Japanese and English Pokémon cards. Flowing Fists follows Delta Reign in the English expansion schedule.

Mega Lucario Z ex and Sigilyph ex

Mega Lucario Z ex is a Metal-type Mega ex card with 210 HP. Its Aura Seeker ability lets its user search a deck for a Supporter card.

Its attack starts at 120 damage and doubles against weaker ex Pokémon, according to Wargamer. Mega Lucario Z is the featured form for the expansion, and Flowing Fists takes its name from Lucario’s martial abilities.

Sigilyph ex provides a different kind of card in the early reveal. Its ability prevents damage to itself from Mega Evolutions. The protection does not extend to other Pokémon.

Screen Rant identifies Sigilyph ex as a Psychic-type card with the Mega Protection ability. Its attack is called Power Cyclone.

Mega Lucario Z ex cannot damage Sigilyph ex through that protection. The early cards pair the expansion’s featured Mega Evolution with a Pokémon that blocks damage from that card type.

Existing Lucario listings use another name

The featured Pokémon also gives Lucario collectors another card name to distinguish from existing releases. Mega Lucario Z ex is the Flowing Fists name; the earlier Mega Evolution cards use Mega Lucario ex.

As of October 21, 2026, Mega Evolution card prices listed Mega Lucario ex 188/132 at an NM market price of $223.63. Mega Lucario ex 179/132 had an NM market price of $167.01 on that date.

Both figures are market estimates for those existing cards, not completed sales or prices for Mega Lucario Z ex.

What to do

  • Note the Japanese and English release dates separately in your calendar, under Aura Seeker and Flowing Fists.
  • Check the English card list as it appears for the cards you want. Do not assume every Aura Seeker card belongs to Flowing Fists.
  • Compare the exact name and card number on existing Lucario listings. Distinguish Mega Lucario ex from the newly revealed Mega Lucario Z ex.
