A Pokémon Center exclusive is a product made for Pokémon Center, The Pokémon Company International’s official online shop. For trading cards, the main one is the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, which Pokémon’s own articles call exclusive. In every recent set it holds 11 booster packs where the standard box holds 9, plus a second copy of the set’s full-art promo card that carries the Pokémon Center logo. The two extra packs are not new: in 2022 the Pokémon Center editions for three Sword & Shield sets held 10 packs, two more than the standard box, but their other extras were accessories, such as a second set of sleeves or a deck box. Most other card products are the same ones mass-market stores sell.

What does Pokémon Center sell that other stores do not?

Less than the name suggests, for cards. Pokémon Center merchandise is licensed for sale only through Pokémon Center, its automated retail vending machines and limited-time deals with major retailers such as Target. Trading cards are the one exception: they reach shoppers through mass-market retailers. Pokémon’s expansion pages for Mega Evolution, Phantasmal Flames, Perfect Order, Chaos Rising and Pitch Black list the Booster Bundle and Booster Display with a retailer finder, so those are sold beyond Pokémon Center.

The shop is online. Pokémon Center runs six websites: the US and Canada, the UK and Germany, and Australia and New Zealand. There is no Pokémon Center store in any of those regions. For shopping in person, there are Pokémon Center stores in Japan, and Nintendo New York and Nintendo San Francisco carry Pokémon products. Its vending machines, all owned and run by The Pokémon Company International, stock Elite Trainer Boxes, booster packs and other card products, and take no returns.

How does the Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box differ today?

For the eight sets from Journey Together to Pitch Black, the Pokémon Center edition adds two packs and a second promo with the logo, and every other line (65 sleeves, the Energy cards, the dividers, the set guide and the accessories) matches the standard box.

The logo promo is the one card that only the Pokémon Center edition holds.

Set Released Logo promo in the Pokémon Center edition
Journey Together March 28, 2025 N’s Zorua
Destined Rivals May 30, 2025 Team Rocket’s Wobbuffet
Mega Evolution September 26, 2025 Alakazam or Riolu
Phantasmal Flames November 14, 2025 Charcadet
Ascended Heroes January 30, 2026 N’s Zekrom
Perfect Order March 27, 2026 Tyrunt
Chaos Rising May 22, 2026 Fennekin
Pitch Black July 17, 2026 Zarude
30th Celebration September 16, 2026 Nidorina

On September 1, 2026, Pokémon called the 30th Celebration edition exclusive and said its 11 packs are two more than usual. For Mega Evolution, the promo is Alakazam or Riolu.

Our guide to Elite Trainer Boxes sets out the rest of each box’s contents and which earlier Scarlet & Violet sets had a Pokémon Center edition.

How did the Pokémon Center edition differ before?

With accessories as well as packs. Pokémon’s article of December 16, 2022 said these boxes could be found only at Pokémon Center and held extra items that standard boxes lacked. It described the Pokémon Center editions for three Sword & Shield sets, each with 10 booster packs, which it said was two more than a standard box:

  • Brilliant Stars (February 25, 2022): a deck box featuring Arceus, with room for accessories, and a metal accessory featuring Arceus.
  • Astral Radiance (May 27, 2022): metal accessories, one of them featuring Darkrai.
  • Silver Tempest (November 11, 2022): a second set of 65 card sleeves and a metal accessory featuring Alolan Vulpix.

The same article listed a Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box Plus for the Pokémon GO set (July 1, 2022), with 12 packs, again two more than its standard box, plus a deck box featuring Mewtwo and metal accessories. So the rule of two extra packs held in 2022 too, but the count was 10, not 11, and the extra items differed by set. Check a 2022 box against that year’s description.

Why does the logo promo matter?

The logo copy is how a loose card shows its source. A full-art promo with the Pokémon Center logo came from the Pokémon Center edition, on Pokémon’s lists for these sets, while the same card without the logo also came in the standard box. Our guide to Pokémon promo cards explains how promos are numbered. When you search for a price or list a card for sale, say whether it has the logo.

How else does Pokémon Center sell its products?

Our guide to buying Pokémon cards at MSRP covers these as a shopper:

  • Preorders. Select items can be preordered. The payment method is checked at checkout, but the charge posts only when the item ships. A preorder can be canceled only before it is processed. The estimated ship-date table, last updated in October 2026, lists a Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box for the Delta Reign set of the Mega Evolution series in the US, Canada and the UK for early November 2026.
  • Invite Only. Formerly called Early Access, it lets selected newsletter subscribers in the US, Canada and the UK buy popular items before a wider release, through a one-use link that expires.
  • Bundles. Sets of several Pokémon Center items sold together. Every bundle sold in North America is final sale.
  • The virtual queue. During busy launches visitors are held in a waiting line. Keep the window open and don’t refresh; items may go out of stock before a visitor completes a purchase.
  • Restocks. Pokémon Center cannot share whether or when the 30th Celebration products will be restocked.

How do you check a Pokémon Center edition before buying it?

  1. Match the year. A box from Journey Together on should hold 11 packs and two promos, one with the logo. A 2022 box should match that year’s list above.
  2. Compare with Pokémon’s page. Each expansion page lists the edition’s contents line by line.
  3. Look at the seal. The box is sealed product, so the maker’s wrap should be intact. Our guide to spotting resealed Pokémon packs shows what to look for.
  4. Check who is selling. Pokémon’s expansion pages link this edition to Pokémon Center’s own shop, so know who you are buying from. TCGplayer lists an MSRP of $59.99 for the 30th Celebration edition, against $49.99 for the standard box.

Our guide to Pokémon sealed products compares the other formats, Rip.fan’s Pokémon price pages list the cards in each set, and the Pokémon hub collects the rest of our coverage.

Frequently asked questions

Can I cancel a Pokémon Center order?

No. Once placed, an order can't be canceled or changed, though any item that is not final sale can be returned within 30 days of delivery. A refund goes back to the payment method used for the order.

Why was my Pokémon Center order canceled?

Most often because an item sold out, or the card on file changed after the order was placed. One unavailable item can cancel the whole order.

How long can a Pokémon Center confirmation email take?

Up to 48 hours during busy launches such as 30th Celebration. If 48 hours pass with no email, check the spam folder, then contact Pokémon Center support.
