TAG Grading

TAG Grading is a card grading company that scores each card out of 1,000 points, turns the score into a 1 to 10 grade, and seals the card in a slab with a digital report.

In more detail

TAG describes its method as multi-patented grading and authentication technology. It images each card with a photometric stereoscopic technique, scores it on a 1,000-point scale, and translates that into the 1 to 10 grade shown on the slab.

Each slab links to a digital image and grading report that you open by scanning a QR code. The report lists the defects it identified, shows high-resolution images and the centering measurements, and can include the population count and ranking.

The point score lets two cards with the same 10 be told apart, as a high 10 or a low 10. Open the report for any TAG card you consider, and compare the listed defects with the card in your hand.
