Service level

A service level is a grading option a company sells, priced by the card's declared value and by how fast the card will be graded.

Grading service levels, from slow to fast Three levels drawn as a fee bar over a wait bar: the fee grows and the wait shrinks from one to the next. Bulk: The lowest fee and the longest wait; at least 25 cards; Faster levels: Each states a highest declared value, a fee and a wait; Unlimited Value: The shortest wait; adds 1% of the card's fair market value to its fee. In more detail

CGC Cards, for example, sells levels from Bulk to Unlimited Value. Each one states a highest declared value per card, a fee per card and an estimated wait. Bulk has the lowest fee and the longest wait and asks for at least 25 cards, while WalkThrough and Unlimited Value have the shortest wait, and Unlimited Value adds 1% of the card's fair market value to its fee.

Choose by what the card is worth and how soon you need it back. The level's limit has to cover the card's declared value, a faster level costs more, and some levels set a minimum number of cards.

Companies change levels, prices and waits, and SGC is one that announced a change to its levels from September 2, 2026. Rip.fan's grading cost calculator shows the levels of the companies it covers, with the day we read them.
