How Boxed.gg and Collector Crypt differ
Collector Crypt's marketplace lists slabs for sale, newest first, each with its grade and price. Boxed.gg's is a swap. You hand over cards already sitting in your account, and as many as thirty you don't want can go toward a single PSA, CGC or Beckett slab, so at Boxed.gg you have to open boxes before you have anything to offer.
On a Collector Crypt pack page the trade-in share sits beside the price, next to a grid of every item in stock for that pack, top value first, with grade and grader on each. Boxed.gg makes its offer on the result screen, where the card shows with the site's value for it and a Sell button that pays into the account balance. Our hockey box at Boxed.gg produced a 2020 Upper Deck base card, and we opened a baseball box as well.
Buy at Collector Crypt if you want the site's offer for a card known before you check out. Boxed.gg makes sense for a collector with a pile of spare cards who would like to turn several of them into one graded card.
