Rip site card value data, measured from opened packs
Every rip site lists a value for each card or item it hands out. We read each site's public record of opened packs every few minutes and add up the listed value that came out against what the packs cost: 289,853 openings from Oct 17 to Nov 2, 2026.
Updated
Listed value per $1 spent, by site
The average is all listed value over all money spent. The typical opening is the middle one, so a handful of very valuable cards cannot stand in for what most openings carried. Each site's page breaks its figure down by pack.
- Courtyard $1.05 per $1 on average, $0.88 typical, 148,530 openings
- Phygitals $0.99 per $1 on average, $0.64 typical, 73,725 openings
- Collector Crypt $1.18 per $1 on average, $0.85 typical, 67,598 openings

How we measure
- What we read. Each site's public record of opened packs: the list the site shows of the latest packs opened and the card or item each one gave. Our sampler reads it every few minutes, keeps every opening it has not seen, and records the pack's price from the site's own pack list at that moment.
- Listed values. Each site's own listed value for each card or item, as the site listed it when the pack was opened; each site's page names its source. A listed value is the site's own figure for a card or item. It is not a sale price or a trade-in offer.
- Value per $1 spent. The listed value of every card or item that came out, divided by what the packs cost. The typical opening is the middle one: half of the openings carried less listed value per $1, half carried more.
- Each pack in proportion. Collector Crypt shows the latest openings of each pack separately, not one list for every pack, so our sampler reads those packs in turn. Between two reads a busy pack opens many times and a quiet one hardly at all, so we keep every opening of a quiet pack but only the latest few of a busy one. To set that right, the figures for a whole site or pack group count each pack by how often it is opened, which we estimate from the time between its openings. For the busiest packs that estimate runs low: buyers often open many packs in a row, and the record shows only the last five of a run. So the average leans toward the dearer packs, and the typical opening is the steadier figure. The openings we name are the openings we read, and each pack's own row is just its own openings.
- What is left out. Openings whose pack price we could not read, and anything with too few openings to show: a pack needs 100 openings, a pack group 300 and a site 500 in the last 30 days.
- The days. These figures cover openings from Oct 17 to Nov 2, 2026, and we update them every day.
