Market prices are one input: grading, centering and the copy in front of you all change what a card sells for.

How the trade checker works

Both sides are priced from the same weekly price check as the card price lookup. Each card starts at the NM market price of the printing our card pages lead with. You can pick another printing, or a condition our check prices that printing in, and only those show. Type your own price and the card is marked as yours until you put the market price back. A side's total adds up every priced card times its quantity, plus any cash on that side. The gap is what you get less what you give, in dollars and as a share of the larger side, and the trade reads as even when the gap is under 1% of the larger side. A card with no price is left out of the totals and says so.

Your trade is kept in this browser's own storage, on this device only, and nothing you enter is sent to Rip.fan. Clearing your browsing data clears it too, so save a CSV copy now and then. The CSV holds both sides, each card marked with its side. Copy link puts the whole trade into the link itself, so whoever opens it sees the same trade, priced from the newest check, with nothing kept on our side.

Look up any single card with the card price lookup, which reads the same check. How our card prices work explains what the figures are and what they are not.

Where the figures come from

Every price on this page is an NM market price in US dollars from our weekly price check of every English Pokémon card, checked on .

Frequently asked questions

What price does the trade checker use?

The market price from our weekly price check, the same check the card price lookup reads, for the printing and condition you pick. Each card starts at NM on the printing our card pages lead with. It is a market figure, not an offer from anyone, and where you know better you can type your own price.

Does it allow for condition or grading?

Condition, yes: pick NM, LP, MP, HP or DM wherever our check has a price for that printing in that condition, and only those show. Grading, no: our price check holds no graded prices, so type your own price for a graded card.

How do I share a trade?

Press Copy link, or open the Trade view to show it across the table, print it or take a screenshot. The link holds both sides, the cash and any prices of your own, so it opens the same trade on any phone with nothing to sign in to.

Can I add sealed products or other cards?

Not yet. It covers English Pokémon cards, the singles our weekly price check reads, and any card in that check can go on either side. Sealed products are not in that check, so add one as cash at the price you both agree.
